A project which involved around thirty schools for a total of around 1,240 students, to which are added the participants in the training sessions at Casa Moggioli: these are the series of events of “L’Euregio meets the schools” which took place during this school year and have received the appreciation of many teachers, some of whom intend to propose the activity again in the next school years. In this regard, Euregio has already scheduled the opening period for registrations from 23 September to 21 October, with meetings in schools starting on Thursdays, starting from 31 October 2024.
It is in the same context that the meeting with around twenty students from the Agricultural Institute of San Michele all’Adige took place today in the Euregio information office in Trento, in which he participated, talking with the students on the themes proposed by the project Euregio manager Roberta Tomazzoni, also the councilor for policies for housing, heritage, state property and promotion of knowledge of the Autonomy of the autonomous Province of Trento. The councilor reminded the students that in the period in which the Agricultural Institute was born, collaboration between the three territories of the Euregio had already historically begun and even today the projects that are developed within the Euregio itself have a concrete impact in the lives of the citizens, such as those relating to mountain agriculture or avalanche bulletins. Tyrol, Alto Adige and Trentino have always been a passageway between the north and south of Europe and the Euregio today has also become important for our future in many areas: knowing it allows our communities and the ‘Euregio itself to continue to grow.

The activity with the schools started in mid-September with the opening of registrations, while the first scheduled outing took place at the end of last October at the Istituto Comprensivo Trento 2 (Comenius Cognola). The annual project will end on Thursday 30 May 2024 in the afternoon in a fourth class of the Pomarolo primary school of IC Villa Lagarina. This year’s novelty, much appreciated by primary school pupils, was represented by a thematic focus on linguistic minorities with exercises in Ladin, Cimbrian and Mòcheno. Furthermore, again from this year, the training offer was also aimed at secondary schools. Among these, the Tambosi Technical Economic Institute of Trento and the San Michele all’Adige Agricultural Institute of the Edmund Mach Foundation, with which a more intense collaboration has been started. Another significant moment in recent weeks was the visit to Casa Moggioli by a group of students from Utrecht University.

The topics covered during the meetings, in Italian and German, range from geography to history, from Autonomy to languages, accompanied by the illustration of projects dedicated to the world of young people, to schools and of main interest to citizens.

The next meeting with the Euregio is scheduled at the Caldonazzo Primary School (IC of Levico) with 39 pupils from two fifth grades.
