May 1st, PSElpidio warms up the engines. Ciarpella and Torresi: «We tried to organize an even bigger party» (Video interview)

THE VIDEO INTERVIEW with the mayor and councilor of Porto Sant’Elpidio. Here is all the “expanded” programming. So not just that of May Day, with news, concerts and entertainment for all tastes

«We have now reached the eighteenth edition of this splendid festival and, this year, we have tried to do things even bigger», began the mayor of Porto Sant’Elpidio, Massimiliano Ciarpella, interviewed this morning together with the councilor to tourism and culture, Elisa Torresi, at the microphones of Radio fm1. The two representatives of the Elpidiense administration were interviewed by Jessica Tidei to present the city’s initiatives on the occasion of the now well-known May Day celebrations.

«This year – explained the mayor of Porto Elpidio – we have, as always, tried to involve the whole city, from the seafront to the streets of the center up to the square. Furthermore, the events dedicated to Labor Day will begin as early as the weekend of April 27th and 28th.”

It is, as the two guests explained during the interview, a packed program capable of attracting visitors of all kinds. In fact, in the early evening, Saturday, Piotta’s concert will be held in the pine forest. Sunday, however, will be entirely dedicated to children and families, given that the entire central area will be set up with inflatables, entertainment and lots of games for the little ones. On the 29th, again, Tiromancino will visit the city and present the zero date of their tour. And if the evening of the 30th will be dedicated to a DJ set event with ‘The Zoo of 105’, the highlight of the party will be reached on May 1st, with the actual Festival. Also on Wednesday, in the evening, there will be a concert by Zero Assoluto, which will close the five days of celebration.

«Not to forget – adds Ciarpella – the novelty of this edition. In fact, several municipalities will participate in Wednesday’s market with their own stands, such as Fermo, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno. This is an initiative that we have called “Village of Municipalities”».

As councilor Elisa Torresi points out, the advertising campaigns for an event of this type with such a varied program begin well in advance. «We worked hard – she explained – to come out with the program of events already in early March, with a great advertising campaign. In fact, our goal, as you explained, was to create an event that was participatory, both for the city, which joined and collaborated in its entirety, and for the visitors. We couldn’t have done otherwise and it’s a move that is paying off: the facilities are already almost sold out.”

Finally, the events do not end here. For example, the exhibition “Tell me how football was – A century of blue” was mentioned, which can be visited from 22 April to 1 May and tells the entire history of the national team from 1890 until today. Labor Day marks the beginning of a summer season full of events and initiatives that will continue until September and October. In short, the image emerges of an entire city which, for the occasion, dresses up and is ready to welcome tourists, visitors from inside and outside the region.
