Thursday 25 April at 9.30 pm at the ‘Goldings|Bernstein|Stewart’ Tower – Telestense

With numerous tours and recordings behind it, the latest of which ‘Perpetual Pendulum’, which celebrates thirty years of activity, the musical partnership between Goldings, Bernstein and Stewart embodies the best the classic organ trio can offer in terms of groove, sonic richness and interplay.

Every time the three cross paths they best exemplify what it means to play jazz with personality and originality, following the path of tradition. Born in 1968, Larry Goldings trained as a pianist in New York with Fred Hersh and Jaki Byard, cut his teeth alongside Jon Hendricks and Jim Hall and at twenty years old approached the organ, forming the long-lived trio with Bernstein in the early 1990s and Stewart. Talent and creativity led Goldings not to limit himself to the jazz field and to open up to other genres. Worth mentioning are the collaborations with artists such as Maceo Parker, Michael Brecker, John Scofield, James Taylor, Carla Bley, Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden, Jack DeJohnette, Tracy Chapman, Madeleine Peyroux, Melody Gardot, Norah Jones and many others.
