The new headquarters of the civil protection of Udine.
The Municipality of Udine has decided to continue theprocess for the construction of the new city headquarters of the Civil Protection in the area in the Partidor area, where land has already been purchased in 2021 for that specific use.
The identified procedure will comply with the requirements identified by law 401 of 2001, relating to the identification of operational coordination centers and emergency areas. However, the economic feasibility project will be downsized compared to that of June 2022, bringing the Municipality’s investment from the 4 million previously expected to 2 million and 415 thousand eurosfunds already set aside and available to the administration.

The administration’s choice goes in the direction of responding to the needs of the citizen group of Civil Protection volunteers, while at the same time containing land consumption and limiting the impact on the surrounding environment. From an urban planning point of view it will be necessary to proceed with one modification of the intended use of the land, at the same time as the approval of the definitive project of the work.
The administration decided at the same time to preserve and enhance the green corridor present along the Roggia di Palma, reducing land consumption in the area as much as possible. The new access and parking area will be built using as much eco-compatible draining material as possible, thus ensuring an appearance of greater integration with the surrounding environment and respect for nature, also taking into consideration the principles of hydraulic safety.
The administration’s decision comes at the end of a process of discussion and sharing to identify possible alternatives, after having verified by all means the consequences of any new assessments regarding the identified and already purchased area and the existing feasibility project. The council therefore approved the continuation of the project.
