Fano.- The Brodetto Fest of Fano on display in Barcelona. The occasion was the SeaFood Expo Global the largest international event dedicated to fishing and aquaculture with over 2 thousand exhibitors from over 90 countries.
The Minister of Agriculture presented the Fano festival to the local and global public, now in its 22nd edition and which will be held from 30 May to 2 June. Francesco Lollobrigida.
“BrodettoFest is a highly promotional event – said the Minister – in which we discuss things a dish that is born poor but becomes central in terms of quality, as an ability to bring well-being since it has really important nutritional elements as well as its flavors that are provided by nature. It is important to make this product central and increase its economic value.”
At the event in Barcelona, the government representative also handed over the certificate on the UNESCO candidacy of Italian cuisine to Confesercenti Pesaro Urbino. “It is the first time – underlined the Minister – that we have delivered it to a trade association”. To collect the certificate Alessandro Ligurgodirector of the association: “Our presence at the Fair, thanks to the Marche Region, for the second consecutive year confirms the increasingly international role of the Fano Festival, an event that continues to grow and strongly enhance the seafood supply chain as well as raise awareness the new generations are increasingly turning to healthy eating and a correct lifestyle.”
The regional councilor also participated in the SeaFood Expo Global Andrea Maria Antonini, who declared: “With over 750 boats, fishing represents an important sector of the Marche economy. With FEAMPA programming we will be able to support operators and businesses in a concrete way, starting from fishing up to fish processing centers. Brodetto can be a testimonial of this supply chain, which starting from the deep traditions of the seafaring of the territories, made up of many stories of fishermen and distinct places, reaches the tables with the flavors of unique dishes. ”
The presentation of the Brodetto Fest in Barcelona, hosted by Fabio Gallo, well-known face on TV, ended with a cooking show and a tasting organized by the fishermen Antonio Gaudenzi, Stefano Facchini and Eros Bocchini of New Copromo.
