Who could have ever predicted that Mayor Enzo Voce would fail on the cause of the reclamation, to which he owes his notoriety and success in politics, given that he had linked all his previous commitment to it.
Not only me, but the entire citizenry is wondering, in these days, the reason for something so incomprehensible, which in the eyes of most appears to be a betrayal of the trust and recognition of competence that had been granted to him.
What a striking contrast has been created between the image that Mayor Voce had offered of himself through the multiple rallies in Piazza Marinai d’Italia and the image that he is giving in these days.
In the next City Council the Mayor must assume his responsibilities and must give explanations for his inexplicable behavior.
And it is not just a question of responsibility, but of dignity, as well as his moral duty towards citizens, to whom he is required to respond with due respect and with absolute sincerity.
It is up to the Municipal Administration to express its high proactiveness which is the result of certain and unassailable competence, so as to induce a Government subsidiary such as ENI to promote a well-thought-out series of productive activities and to push Crotone to become a virtuous model and sustainable.
That is, the implementation of the reclamation must transform itself into a more stimulating opportunity to attract businesses to our territory and this is why it is absolutely necessary to structure these areas, so that they are equipped with the indispensable services and the most technologically suitable and advanced.
It is also necessary to offer them at reduced costs or even at zero cost, so that new entrepreneurial initiatives can be established for as long a period of time as possible, allocating a significant portion of these areas to our young people who are willing to undertake and start up.
In Crotone the great plague is UNEMPLOYMENT.
