Sanremo. It returns again this year, for the sixteenth edition, on the prestigious stage of Ariston theatre (and this year exceptionally also at the Casino Opera House) the international competition “Sanremo Dance Festival” of classical, modern, contemporary dance, fantasy dance, hip hop, ethnic and character dances.
The event, which takes advantage of the collaboration of the Municipality of Sanremo and the patronage of the Liguria Region, will last the entire day of 26 and 27 April for the actual competition but many other events are planned during the entire weekend. The “Tutti danzano Sanremo” event is confirmed, which will be held on Friday evening at the Ariston theater and will be preceded at 6 pm by the traditional flashmob, in front of the theater, to the tune of “sincerely” by Annalisa.
The Sanremo Dance Festival has now consolidated absolutely unique participation numbers, so much so that it has requested the support of the Teatro del Casino to host some of the 400 choreographies planned for the competition. The number of dancers is considerable, exceeding 1500 units and 85 schools, coming from almost all Italian regions, from France, Brazil, Corsica and Malta.
As many as 12 international jurors will take turns judging the competing choreographies: Cinzia di Cioccio, Luciano Di Natale, Lorella Doni, Davide Iacobone, Agnes Lascombes, André Malosa, Francesca Orlando, Margherita De Pieri, Daniele Rommelli, Simone Stella, Cristina Todi, Sergei Vanaev, X-Five.
