The Police Commissioner of Trapani, Except La Rosa, who will move to Rome to take up a new role, met with journalists.

The replacement Giuseppe Felice Peritore will take office next week. For La Rosa, the balance is positive. Many episodes are remembered and behind every statistical number there is a story and a person. the Police Commissioner recalled that in 2024 there wasOperation Exodus with 13 arrested of Italian and Tunisian nationality belonging to a criminal association aimed at facilitating illegal immigration with the aggravating circumstance of transnationality. During the clashes, 8 other people were arrested. Europol, Tunisian Police and SCO participated in the operation.
Finally, the Police Commissioner spoke about the increase in controls for the prevention of crimes and did not neglect thecommitment made in managing migrants, especially with the establishment of the hotspot, and also the modernization of services for citizens such as those linked to the issuing of passports or temporary documents.
“I am satisfied with the operational budget of the Police Headquarters – said La Rosa – . This is a team effort and I credit that to the men and women who work here. Without them we would not have achieved these results“.
