LECCE – On Sunday 21 April, an important partnership was signed at Torre del Parco, in the name of solidarity. The Lecce Host Lions Club groups, with those of Brindisi and Manduria, have established a real friendship pact, a twinning. An important occasion for all the members of the respective territories, in fact the speaker intervened in this sense President of the Lions Club Lecce Host Antonio Costantiniafter thanking the 1st Vice Governor Emanuele Tatò, the 2nd Vice Governor Girolamo Tortorelli, the President of LC Brindisi Cesare Laviola, the President of LC Manduria
Minuccio Massarelli and all the authorities present has
expressed great satisfaction: “This day should be considered as the synthesis of three important nouns that are dear to the Lions world: Friendship, Love and Brotherhood, because these are the things that exist they have in common, as well as obviously being three cities of the Land of Otranto, we Lions are
basically this.
I sincerely hope to grow together with you, with common programs, so that we can help those who need us most, because there are truly many people who need help. With our Services we help not only our territory, but also the world thanks to the LCIF Foundation. I remember like it was yesterday,
when we spoke with Cesare and got together
agree. Then, Minuccio and I met
thanks to our Burraco Tournament in solidarity and immediately
an understanding was born. Here, these are the things that
unite, our Services. Together we can!”.
In the first monthsIn 1956, exactly in January and March, the second and third Lions Clubs born in Puglia were approved. They were, precisely, Lecce Host and Brindisi. After a few years, the Manduria Lions Club was also established. Almost seventy years after their establishment, these Clubs wanted to testify to the lasting power of Friendship, built on a basis of shared experiences and common values.
The bonds that are formed in the name of Friendship and Brotherhood are bonds that last a lifetime. Friendship and Brotherhood which can be summarized in one word Philanthropy: Love towards others, as a disposition and as a hard-working effort to promote the happiness and well-being of others. it is a feeling that unites people inspired by high ideals and values and by the common feeling that is expressed in actions of solidarity and generosity. it is a strong bond that can unite men across all borders, and break down cultural barriers. promotes a sense of belonging, a strong sense of connection with the group as a whole.
Lions are known for their commitment to philanthropy and community service. they believe in the power of giving back to their communities and helping those in need, they embrace diversity and inclusiveness.

You are friends the moment you join a partnership, but you are even more friends when you later discover the possibility of doing service, with the necessary team spirit.
The prevalence of doing over being is certainly the only way to strengthen the service activity that sees us committed to supporting the community, without territorial constraints; all together we can definitely make an important difference!”
