Uil Veneto: “Common sense triumphed”

24 APR

“Common sense has triumphed: the end of the limited number in Medicine is good news and we can only rejoice. For some time we have been saying that there is a lack of healthcare professionals in Veneto too and for some time we have known that the fault lies in the lack of a vision which translates into an absence, in all these years, of national planning and this absurd limited number. To enter medicine you had to pass a quiz which, let’s face it, nipped in the bud those new recruits who are fundamental so that our national healthcare system, envied throughout the world, does not implode. Removing the limited number means having a vision. It means understanding how important it is to replenish our healthcare system with new doctors. Finally, it means believing in a public health system in which all people, especially the fragile ones, will be able to receive adequate treatment. Because, let’s remember, it costs money to have private treatment and not everyone can afford it.”

He said it Roberto Toigogeneral secretary of Uil Veneto.
