FIALS Taranto: insufficient numbers, urgent clarifications needed
Taranto – There Regional Council with a resolution yesterday it approved 895 hires in the Sanitaservices of the Puglia Region, allocating only 56 hires to Taranto.
The hiring plan envisaged 56 hires for Taranto, 97 for the Bari Polyclinic, 113 for Lecce, 117 for BAT, 46 for Foggia, 56 for Brindisi and 390 for ASL Bari.
The General Secretary of FIALS Taranto, Emiliano Messina, recalls that 40 hires in SET 118 of Sanitaservice of Taranto had already been approved and authorized in the business plan of the internalization process which was completed in May 2023, therefore it is not clear how they could only be authorized 56 hires in total in the province of Taranto.

Having taken note of the data made public with yesterday’s resolution of the Regional Council – he highlights Emiliano Messina – we immediately requested a meeting with the General Director of ASL Taranto and the Sole Director of Sanitaservice, Giuseppe Pulito.
We want to see clearly – Emiliano Messina points out – the hirings do not even cover retirements and resignations, if only we consider that since the IT/ICT support was internalized there have been at least 10 resignations, not to mention the retirements in the auxiliary service.
We have numerous part-time workers who have been waiting for a long time for an increase in the amount of work with an extension of the full-time employment relationship – underlines the number one of FIALS, Emiliano Messina – who are interested above all in the CUP workers and the former Eureka and the Sunflower.
We want to understand the real request presented by ASL Taranto and Sanitaservice to the Region and the consequent authorizations granted by the Regional Council – Emiliano Messina announces – it is appropriate to make the criteria adopted and the methods for allocating hiring between the provinces clear and transparent to all.
As FIALS we have already started the personnel mobilization procedures, if we do not receive satisfactory answers, it will be a season of hard struggle – concludes the General Secretary of FIALS Taranto, Emiliano Messina.
