Three events to enjoy ancient music in a unique place in the world: it is scheduled for Friday 26 April 2024 at 5.30pm the first god three concerts organized in the courtyard of Museum of Palazzo Davanzati come on Bargello Museums together with the musicians of Department of Ancient Music of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Florence.

The concert of Friday 26 April is titled Toccata, Chaconne, Rondeau: the forms of the Baroque, and will see Matteo Dozio perform on the harpsichord in a series of pieces taken from the repertoire of Bach, Scarlatti, Royer, Storace and Forqueray. The May 24th instead (always at 5.30 pm), the museum courtyard will see the presence of a vocal and instrumental group composed of Viola Conti, soprano, Sebastiano Silvestri, alto, Yaroslava Maltseva, recorder, Gustavo Cardamone Carloni, viola da gamba and Morgan Zearott , harpsichord, who will perform a selection of pieces by Händel and Telemann entitled Torments of Love. Last appointment on June 21st (5.30 pm) on the occasion of the Music Festival, with Sing and Handel arias, which will see performances by Elena Casaglia, soprano, Nikolai Gladskikh, alto, Giulia Giannini, recorder and Tyler Stewart, baroque cello.

The Department of Ancient Music of the Cherubini Conservatory he has always been involved in teaching the repertoire, and is also active in experimentation and research in the academic field and in production for dissemination to the public, to bring to light pages of great artistic value, often little known to most.

The collaboration of Bargello Museums with the Conservatory is designed, in synergy, to place musical proposals in environments rich in history and art, to make music an artistic jewel inserted in a setting of great importance for the Florentines and for the tourists who, from all over the world, visit the city.

Access to the concerts is free for holders of an entrance ticket to the Palazzo Davanzati Museum.
