The French Paralympic champion Charles Antoine Kouakou trains in Molfetta

The young athletes of the French athletics delegation who, in recent days, met the Mayor, Tommaso Minervini, the councilor for sport, Enzo Spadavecchia, and the councilor for territorial marketing, will be in Molfetta until tomorrow, 25 April. Giacomo Rossiello.

Among the young athletes also the Paralympic champion Charles Antoine Kouakou, gold in Tokyo, who chose the Mario Saverio Cozzoli stadium in Molfetta to train before the new sporting adventure that will see him among the protagonists of the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

The delegation was accompanied by Pietro Camporeale from Allenamenti, creator of the Hurdle Education project which aims to create an international hurdles school, to encourage opportunities for learning and comparison with other international realities, and Vincent Clarico, former hurdler, gold medalist at the Mediterranean Games in Bari in 1997.

«I wish you to achieve increasingly important and satisfying results – commented the Mayor, Tommaso Minervini – also thanks to the guidance and support of expert coaches. We all have limits but it is important to work hard to overcome them.”

Last week Mayor Minervini and councilor Spadavecchia also met Enrico Pio Tridente, gold in the 4×100 at the Trisome Games.
Meanwhile, next June 1st and 2nd, Cozzoli will host the FISDIR Italian Athletics Championships and in July the under 18 Athletics youth championships will be held.
