VARESE – The investigation activities of the inspection unit and the anti-degradation operational unit of the local police command of Varese led to the deferral of a man for violating the law on the induction and exploitation of prostitution and for aiding and abetting illegal immigration.
The report from the condominium
The complex investigative activity began following a report from a condominium administrator relating to an apartment in Varese. The local police were thus able to identify and listen a woman of Chinese nationality who confirmed that she had been induced by a man who, taking advantage of the lady’s illegal status, had convinced her to move to Varese to prostitute herself. The man was thus referred to the judicial authorities for the violation of the Merlin law, on the induction and exploitation of prostitution and for aiding and abetting illegal immigration. The woman was instead reported to the Varese Police Headquarters for subsequent procedures.
