Roberto Savini from Faenza elected vice president of Confcooperative Emilia-Romagna

Roberto Savini was elected this morning in Bologna as vice president of Confcooperative Emilia-Romagna. He will support the president of the regional association Francesco Milza, in his third mandate, together with Elisa Cugini and Luca Dal Pozzo.

The election of the three regional vice-presidents was held at the regional council of the Association, which met for the first time in its recently renewed composition, with over a third of the first-appointed councillors.

Roberto Savini is the national and regional president of Confcooperative Consumo e Utenza (Federation that brings together consumer, distribution, user, insurance and health mutual cooperatives), e vice president of Confcooperative Romagna. And then, president of the Cofra cooperative group of Faenza which manages numerous retail outlets in the Ravenna area.

“I thank the regional organization for choosing me for this role – Savini commented immediately after the election -. Ours is a business association that puts work at the center of its work. Having the possibility of having an Association at a regional level allows us to be able to relate to regional politics and help the sectors of our businesses that depend on regional policies, I am thinking primarily of agriculture, but also of the service and social sectors. We will work for our companies and we will also commit ourselves at a national level in representing a region where cooperation has such a significant and driving role”.

Together with the regional vice-presidents, this morning the new presidential council of Confcooperative Emilia Romagna was also elected, of which representing Romagna there are: Carlo Dalmonte (president of Caviro), Valerio Giorgis (president of La Fraternità), Mauro Neri (president Confcooperative Romagna), Mirella Paglierani (president Gemos).

The election of the three regional vice-presidents, whom I thank for their availability, expresses the strong rooting and capillarity of our Association throughout the region through the territorial unions, together with the representation of fundamental sectors for the economic and social system of Emilia-Romagna”.
