Prato, shop checks: over 600 irregular receipts

LAWN – As part of the activities to prevent and combat tax evasion to protect the Prato industrial district arranged by the Tuscany Regional Command of the Guardia di Finanza, the Provincial Command of Prato has intensified checks on businesses and activities over the last 12 months commercial.

The inspection activities carried out were concentrated in the “Macrolotto” of the industrial area of Prato and were directed towards those “phenomena” relating to the failure to issue the tax document, the total absence of tax meters, the accounting of “zero amount” receipts ”, as if the product sold and paid for had been given free of charge, in addition to verification of payment of the special TV license due by public establishments, in places open to the public.

The Fiamme Gialle acted in a targeted and selective manner, valorising the findings in the Department’s records (e.g. reports to the public utility service “117”) and the economic control of the territory, the databases in use by the Corps and the resulting information assets from the obligations of electronic storage and electronic transmission of fee data.

In this context, under the coordination of the Provincial Command, the Prato Group has carried out 630 inspection activities over the last 12 months which led to the finding of irregularities in 583 cases which, proportionally correspond to approximately 94% of irregularities. The checks mostly concerned the obligations of storing and transmitting electronic payments (tax receipts).

The economic-financial controls carried out in the specific sector have the aim of protecting all those merchants who, however, promptly issue the receipt and tax receipt to their customers from forms of unfair competition.

In this context, the financiers of the Group’s Mobile Unit also proceeded to verify the exact obligations of the commercial establishments (especially bars and restaurants) connected to the payment of the related Rai license fee. In this case, out of 61 checks carried out, it was found that 100% of the operators were not in compliance and are now found to be responsible for non-payment of the license fee, plus interest at the legal rate as well as administrative sanctions.

These types of controls once again demonstrate the constant supervision implemented by the Fiamme Gialle extended across the entire territory of competence to protect businesses and honest citizens.
