CREMONA – He bought the hashish on Instagram: 265 grams of drugs in total, between the one he had with him and the one they found in his house, contained in an aluminum box hidden in the bedroom wardrobe.
Yesterday afternoon the policemen of the flying squad directed by the chief commissioner, Esther Espositothey arrested him. This is a young man from Cremona, 26 years old in three days, several jobs under his belt, including one as a clerk in a supermarket. Today the judge validated the arrest, ordering the suspect to be required to sign. The defender, Marilena Gigliotti, asked for terms for the defense also to await the results of the toxicological report which will ascertain the active ingredient of the narcotic substance. The trial is set for July 8th.
The facts date back to yesterday afternoon. During a control service, at 4.20pm in via Opifici the patrol stopped the young man. And he searched him: he had 20 grams of drugs. The police subsequently searched his house. In the wardrobe they found a box, inside which there were several containers: (brand ‘Banana Punch’: feminised cannabis brand). In one there was a block of hashish (49.68 grams), in another 50.36 grams of drug, in yet another 49.76 grams. In a quarter a block of 94.24 grams.
Also seized were a precision scale and a kitchen knife with the blade (17 centimetres) still dirty with hashish.
At the arrest validation hearing, the young man claimed to have stocked up on drugs “for personal use”. She admitted she was wrong, but explained the reasons. In the last 5.6 months, the drug helped him as a reassurance to overcome some family problems. In short, he had gotten a little carried away. Plus, now that his arm is in a cast, hashish came in handy to calm the pain as therapy. But the judge considered the 265 grams of hashish a circumstance incompatible with “personal use”. And he spoke of serious indications of guilt. Yesterday afternoon the young man returned home: signature required. Unemployed, he is looking for work; he sent several resumes around. “There is a company that promised to call him,” said the defender.
