Plan

A new development model: the systemic University

The new model of the “Systemic University” which considers the University of Teramo as an organism in which Teaching, Research, Third Mission (relationships with the territory) are strictly interconnected to achieve common objectives. This will allow us to generate significant growth for the University and for the entire territory.

The candidacy method: the shared construction of a programmatic proposal

Christian Corsi started the program formulation process in April 2023 with the aim of considering the opinions, plans, expectations and proposals of the UNITE community. To date, the phases that have characterized and will characterize the construction of his proposal have been: 453 individual meetings, 16 group meetings, 8 assemblies.

His project for the University of Teramo is based on two directions: innovation and inclusion. Together with the students and all the members of the UNITE Community, a competitive and cohesive University must be built, capable of including and enhancing diversity in an environment that favors the sharing of ideas and contamination of knowledge.

Students at the centre

The proposed actions intend to impact the quality of life of students: from the establishment of a permanent table in constant dialogue with the Rector to the rethinking of the fee modulation system; from improving the efficiency of the public transport network to expanding the categories of student collaboration grants, as well as the institutional dialogue necessary to guarantee the attribution of grants to protect the right to study.

Research: engine of progress

Establishment of a new area of Research Fundraising for the identification of funds for research and the activation of European projects; creation of interdisciplinary research thematic centers in collaboration with international universities and research centers; development of international mobility programs for research; creation of a research-innovation-action platform; strengthening of the School of Higher Education in Research; promotion of gender equality in research.

Inclusive and future-oriented teaching

To combat the phenomenon of dropouts and offer future-oriented teaching, Christian Corsi proposes to: implement teaching experimentation projects (flipped classroom, gamification, debate); enhance project-based teaching, extended reality and artificial intelligence; actions to encourage interdisciplinary teaching; promotion of merit through paths of excellence; open educational resources.

The Third Mission as a development lever for the community

The main Third Mission initiatives concern: creation of a laboratory for innovation and entrepreneurship; institution of UNITE entrepreneurial education, unconventional entrepreneurial training program; institution of “UNITEcube” incubator for start-ups and spin-offs; implementation of “OpenUNITE”, Open Innovation platform; development of COMUNITE, a permanent platform for exchange initiatives with the territory. These actions will contribute to the creation of a virtuous process of value creation also in support of the territory.

Internationalization: a University open to the world

Some of the proposed actions concern: strengthening and expanding international agreements and strengthening the Erasmus+ programme; institution ofInternship Exchange Network network of international internships and placements; strengthening of the University Language Center; improvement of systems Double-degree and joint degrees international; creation of an International Innovation Hub.
