118, the doctor returns on board the ambulance in Alto Molise – Amolivenews

“From 1 May the 118 of Agnone will return to being medicalized during the night hours, while that of Venafro will be demedicalized at the same time with a view to rotation”.
The mayor of Agnone communicated this in a note Daniele Saia. Good news given that since April 1st 118 had only one “India” station, that is, an ambulance equipped with nursing staff, rescuers and drivers.

“It is the decision taken by Asrem to respond to the needs of Molise citizens –adds Saia- Evidently the blanket is too short, few doctors on duty who are unable to cover the shifts of all the stations in the region. Agnone didn’t win, Venafro didn’t lose. Because this must not turn into a war between the poor, but rather into a collective commitment to find a remedy for the real evil of Molise healthcare: the shortage of personnel.

And it is on this issue that the municipal administration has opened a discussion table with the general director Di Santo and the top management of the health company who, as they explained in Agnone in the meeting of the “The citizen is there” committee, work to making ends meet in a commissioner system for 14 years. Problems can be resolved with dialogue and commitment, unfortunately there is no magic wand.”

The note does not miss a jab at the regional Agnonese Andrea Greco.

“Administering an organization is very different from protesting every day – underlines the mayor of Agnone -, a concept that probably goes to the regional councilor Andrea Greco it is not yet clear given that he has not yet had the opportunity to govern during his political career. Meanwhile, thanks to the dialogue, on May 1st something will change in Agnone. But this cannot be the definitive solution – concludes Saia – andIn this regard, I express my closeness to all the citizens of Venafro. To arrive at a final answer that truly satisfies all the Molise communities, we must continue to work in synergy, we will do this together with the Conference of Mayors which brings together all 136 of Molise’s first citizens”.
