Natural Gallery, a Web App to find the city’s commercial activities from your smartphone

On Sunday 21 April 2024, at the Boccabianca hall in Potenza Picena, the traders association “I Piceni” presented the WebAPP dedicated to the Natural Gallery initiative to the citizens.

The latter is a project carried out by the association with the municipal administration and in partnership with the Marche Region, Confcommercio and ASPP in order to encourage the opening of new commercial activities within the historic center of Potenza.

Through the new Web APP, available for all smartphone models, it is possible to identify the location of all the commercial activities in the city, view the related photos and share the shots concerning them. This is an evolving tool that can be expanded to include further places of interest for citizens and tourists.

The event was also an opportunity to take stock of the Natural Gallery project: four activities have opened their doors in recent months thanks to the public-private funding made available through this opportunity, which includes resources from the Municipality for rent and resources from the Marche Region Natural Shopping Center tender. “A shutter that lowers is a piece of the life of our village that goes away. – the representatives of the “I Piceni” association explained during the meeting – A new activity instead is enthusiasm, dynamism, energy. Depopulation is a phenomenon that does not only concern Potenza Picena and which sees our cities transforming into real dormitories.

Consumption is made elsewhere, for example in shopping centers often close to one’s workplace. What this project is continuing to do is lend a hand, offering an 80% incentive on the rent to those who decide to open a new business. We also wanted to diversify the offer, identifying types of activities that do not take away customers from existing commercial establishments. The biggest difficulty to date has undoubtedly been finding premises. There are indeed many vacant ones and we would like to encourage the owners to make them available to allow those who want to invest in our area to be able to do so. We are available to continue working profitably, even with the administration to come.”
