Rivolta d’Adda has much to discover, artistic treasures to visit and a long history to listen to. And, to honor this heritage, the Culture Council organized the event entitled “Discover Rivolta d’Adda and its monuments”. The date chosen is the holiday of April 25th which will see, in the morning, the institutional celebrations for the anniversary of the 79th Anniversary of the Liberation and, in the afternoon, a “Cognitive journey of art and history.

The afternoon event will be managed by the “Custodians of art and history”, the group of 17 volunteers who occupy a good part of their time as true ambassadors of the Revolt culture. After a long in-depth activity followed during the winter season, the “custodes” are ready to accompany visitors who want to reach the village on a journey aimed at discovering the beauties of the village. Among these are also two young students from the “Bruno Munari” Art High School in Crema who are following their curricular internship (PCTO) in the town, studying and deepening their knowledge of various aspects of Rivolta culture. The agreement with the Crema Institute was signed by the Università del BenEssere APS association, and makes use of the collaboration of the Parish of Rivolta d’Adda and the coordination of the Culture Council.

The project involves the voluntary contribution of various local cultural experts (Mons. Dennis Feudatari, Cesare Sottocorno, Mauro Bonazzoli, Marco Cagna, Alessandra Rovelli, Valentino Galli, Fabio Conti and Luigi Minuti) and other figures called to follow the volunteers in more technical aspects linked to archive research, production of multimedia material, exhibitions and events (Ivan Losio – who is also the group’s tutor, Clara Vismara, Gianluca Colombi and Angelo Ogliari).

For the occasion, a new publication will be made available – another activity completed by the group – useful for promoting the monuments of Revolt, accompanied by some postcards and bookmarks.

On the afternoon of April 25th, starting at 3 pm, the “Historical-artistic cognitive path” will last approximately 90 minutes. Among the dialogues of the “custodes” you will be able to admire family jewels from Revolt such as the imposing Basilica of Santa Maria e San Sigismondo with its Romanesque capitals and ancient pictorial evidence, the marvelous Renaissance Church of Santa Maria Immacolata which boasts precious frescoes from the school Leonardesque and the evocative Palazzo Candiani-Celesia, an elegant building now in neoclassical style which tells historical events going back in time to the sixteenth century period.

Participation is free with reservations required via WhatsApp or Telegram or telephone (from 5pm to 8.30pm) on 350 041 4010 or by connecting to the website https://cittadinanzattivarivolta.it/scopririvolta/.

Applause from the Municipal Administration – says Deputy Mayor Patrini – to the volunteers and the Culture Council for the commitment they are making in the construction of cultural opportunities linked to our artistic heritage and in the dissemination of knowledge and attractiveness paths. An aggregation model on which we focus a lot because it leaves traces of knowledge and passes on to young people the passion of the people who live in our territory, which has much to offer and enhance.
