Promotion is the soul of commerce, as an old adage went. And it is on this track that the Antica Ibla natural shopping center intends to continue moving which, in synergy with the Municipality, has involved the consortium for the protection of Monti Iblei DOP oil and the Ragusano DOP consortium, with their respective points of reference, the president Giuseppe Arezzo and the director Enzo Cavallo, with the aim of reaching a goal never before achieved, at least in the ancient city (in the photo from the left Arezzo, Tiralosi, Massari and Cavallo).

“Thanks to the attention of the mayor, Peppe Cassì, and in particular of the councilor for economic development, Giorgio Massari, who worked hard to coordinate this comparison – underlines the councilor of the Ccn, Santi Tiralosi – we carried out an inspection in the infopoint of Corso XXV April managed by Antica Ibla within which a space has been identified in which the excellent food and wine productions of our territory will be exhibited. A showcase with a certain impact if we consider that the numbers tell us that there were over 30 thousand visitors to Hi! during the last year and that, therefore, there will be the opportunity, in this way, to make known everything that our territory is capable of producing, providing among other things the opportunity to our economic operators to open, why not , another market niche. But not only. We will also provide the possibility of carrying out tastings which always represent an attractive opportunity. This idea was welcomed with enthusiasm by the mayor and councilor Massari, who immediately worked to ensure that it could be implemented in conjunction with the start of the new tourist season. The PDOs of our area, therefore, form a system to try, even more, to showcase the excellence that we have been able to create and which can act as an attraction for visitors to Ibla. We are now defining the operational methods of a path that we consider very interesting and which, if it works, can give the “launch” to a new format capable of enhancing our products, perhaps also with regard to other types of sales ”.

The next few days, after the last few hours’ inspection of the Hi! headquarters ongoing XXV April, will be used precisely to understand in what terms it will be possible to proceed with a project that can provide a small push to increasingly meet the needs of those who choose Ibla as a destination for their tours and holidays. “Our infopoint – underlines the president of the Ccn Antica Ibla, Daniele La Rosa – must be understood as a showcase of local food and wine products which can then be purchased in the various merchants as well as tasted in the various venues. And for those who want, specific experiences in the various companies can also be proposed; such as, for example: the cheesemaker for a day, the visit to the oil mills, and more. This action is part of the objective we have set ourselves to pursue the promotional-marketing path of the Ragusa destination”.
