Deputy Minister Bignami in Carpi: ‘Meeting in a few days with RFI on the Cibeno underpass, with us the city will become attractive again’ – Politics

Meeting with the mayoral candidate Annalisa Arletti and the FDI regional coordinator Barcaiuolo: ‘Starting from infrastructure, Carpi can become a protagonist again’. Boatman: ‘Centre right cohesive, center left divided by power struggles against the interests of the citizens. The Aimag case demonstrates this

For years Lapressa.it has offered free and independent information to its readers without any type of public contribution. Private advertising covers part of the costs, but it is not sufficient. For this reason we ask those who read us and follow us every day to give us, if they wish, a contribution based on their possibilities. Even a small support, multiplied by the tens of thousands of people from Modena and Emilia-Romagna who read us every day, is fundamental.

Roundabout off the motorway and the unblocking of the procedures for the Cibeno underpass. These are two works that Annalisa Arletti, candidate for mayor of the centre-right, is thinking about and included in the electoral programme, about which she consulted the government directly. The response from the Deputy Minister of Transport Infrastructure Galeazzo Bignami arrived quickly. ‘And not only because Annalisa is a serious and honest person with great political commitment but because she took an interest, as no others did. As Deputy Minister, representative of the institutions, I answer to anyone but no one until now and recently from other political parties has done so. Annalisa Arletti yes. So I called RFI and was confirmed to have a meeting with the CEO next week. We will check where we are at and how we can proceed to provide Carpi with a strategic and long-awaited work’ – reassures Bignami.

‘By also focusing on the excellent relationship with the government, and on clear ideas on the relaunch of Carpi, we believe we can guarantee good administration and, immediately, propose concrete ideas and projects focusing on businesses. As? recovering competitiveness, attractiveness and centrality lost over the years. From infrastructure to tax leverage’ – says Arletti who reels off some numbers of a crisis in the industrial sector from which Carpi has never really recovered. ‘In Carpi there are 6,700 companies, in recent years we have lost 500 of them. Many relocate, others close and others who once chose Carpi to settle prefer other contexts. We have the tools and the political proposal to reverse a trend that has led to our city and the district no longer being central and attractive. Tax breaks for temporary rents, reduction of the IMU for the many vacant warehouses in industrial areas but above all a program to use them for other possible functions.

We want to further develop the experience of Carpi Fashion System and stop that of the large supermarkets and shopping centers. Carpi, on this front, has already given’ – continues Arletti.

‘In recent years, the centre-right has developed a ruling class capable and ready to administer this territory, which needs to reverse the trend and which has never found a way out of the crisis in the primary knitwear sector. An alternative to a political class which among its latest acts has decided years ago to sell off Aimag, the only public jewel of the territory, in Hera’ – stated Senator Michele Barcaiuolo. ‘A move so shameful and against the interests of citizens and the territory, that it splits the PD and that intellectually honest part of the lower Modena area that opposes this massacre’. Senator Barcaiuolo’s last jab at the centre-left divisions. ‘On the one hand we have a cohesive and compact centre-right, on the other a coalition divided in two where one party for electoral interests and not for the city’s interests also allies itself with those who took it to court the day before. When agreements are made on power and not on ideas and vision, they are unlikely to succeed.
