It started this morning, Saturday 20 April at 9 am, and will continue tomorrow, Sunday 21 April, the Interregional meeting of the Carabinieria prestigious event organized by Section of the National Carabinieri Association of Tivoli “Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Varisco” and by the Volunteers of Govt of the ANC with the collaboration of Municipality of Tivolithe Tivoli Carabinieri Company and with the patronage of Lazio region.

The two-day event began at National boarding school with the inauguration of the exhibitions of uniforms and of historical radios at Estensi stables as well as, in view of such an important occasion, a folder with historical postcards, stamps it’s a postal cancellation specific to 20 and 21 April 2024.
A moment from the Literary Competition at the Giuseppetti Theater
Afterwards at 10.30 am Giuseppetti Theater the awards ceremony took place IV Tiburtino literary and musical competition on the topic of “The figure of the Carabiniere of yesterday and today”.

The award ceremony was accompanied byorchestra of the Baccelli middle school who performed musical pieces of various depth and genre and with a dynamic presentation of the General Tiziano Fabi assisted by Anna Maria Cicchetti.
The competition was kicked off by Teacher Maria SalvatiTiburtino soprano, with the choir of kindergarten children who sang the Italian anthem.
For the literary competition the prizes, chosen by a jury made up of teachers Rina Giacobbe And Patrizia Recchia and delivered by Major Francesco Giacomo Ferrante and by the School Councilor Maria Luisa Cappelli were assigned to:
4th place: Tommaso Zoppitelli of the Baccelli institute
3rd place: Asia Orazietti of the Segrè institute
2nd place: Andrea Mattiocco of the National Boarding School
1st place: Frida Moreschini of the Baccelli institute

While for the music competition the prizes were awarded by the jury composed of lieutenant Giuseppe Campanaleformerly orchestral of the Carabinieri musical band, and delivered to all three participants ex aequo:
National Boarding School Choir with “the Carabiniere’s prayer”
Choir of the Orazio institute with Michael Jackson’s song “Heal the World”
Choir together with a live orchestra from the Segrè institute with two songs, one of which in memory of the Capaci and D’Amelio massacre “Minchia Signor Tenente”.

The event also saw the surprise participation of all the children and family members “Rome 1 dog group” and ended with the highly anticipated performance of the Istituto Baccelli orchestra of “La Fedelissima”, the official march of the Carabinieri.
After a short break the event started again at 3.30pm in Piazza Garibaldi with the demonstration of the Civil protectionof the Dog teams and, to understand the importance of the interaction of cutting-edge technologies in emergency management, the DJI MAVIC 3 T drone, equipped with a thermal camera, essential for search, rescue and environmental monitoring operations.
The Lazio interregional meeting of the Carabinieri will continue tomorrow too.
