Pnrr: safeguard clause for the projects of the Aosta Valley municipalities. An amendment is passed which ensures that the resources already allocated to the Aosta Valley, the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano, Friuli Venezia Giulia and the local authorities of the respective territories, remain assigned even if the original Pnrr funding were reduced or eliminated

On Tuesday 16 April, confidence was placed in Legislative Decree no. 19/2024 “containing further urgent provisions for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan” followed, on Thursday 18 April, by the final votes.

The confidence procedure, used to speed up the approval of acts in Parliament in the face of a high number of amendments, also saw the contribution of the linguistic minority component. Among these, the Hon Franco Manes and the other deputies presented 48 amendments, 15 of which were approved or absorbed.

The comment

«This is an important result, on a topic that is extremely sensitive to the territories» underlines Manes. As councilor Luciano Caveri had already announced at the Celva Assembly on 19 March, of the approximately 1000 projects of the Valle d’Aosta municipalities, 397 had been canceled and defunded. Among other things, some of which were already concluded. Now, thanks to teamwork with the regional administration, in Parliament and in the Conference of Regions, funding is guaranteed to the Valle d’Aosta municipalities.”

This objective achieved, obtained transversally at a political level, highlights the important role of the Regions with Special Statute and the Autonomous Provinces. The overall value of the financing discussed for Trento, Bolzano, Valle d’Aosta and Friuli Venezia Giulia amounts to approximately 260 million euros.
