Olbia. Violent accident on the ring road. Two injured in code red

★VIDEO★ OLBIA. It will be the Traffic Police led by Commander Andrea Migliore who will definitively ascertain the responsibilities of a bad accident that occurred around 1pm on the North Olbia-Golfo Aranci ring road.

Three vehicles involved: one Giulietta Alfa Romeo conducted by a 34 year old from Olbia, a van driven by a 51 year old man originally from Sassari and a Fiat Cinquecento with an 80 year old father and 40 year old son on board, coming from the Peninsula for work. The drivers of the Giulietta and the truck they were transported in code red at the John Paul II hospital.

THE CAUSES. Initially it was thought that one of the vehicles had made a U-turn but, at the end of the investigations by the Highway Patrol, a risky overtaking maneuver emerged more clearly. As the images of the video at the bottom of the article show, the damage to the Alfa Romeo and the van was extensive.

THE INJURED. The conditions of the injured, who initially appeared serious to the rescuers who arrived on site, improved after they were admitted to hospital as the hours passed. Neither of the two drivers, driving the van and the Giulietta, the two vehicles that sustained the most significant damage, are in danger of their lives.

The Fire Brigade intervened on site and took care of the safety of the crashed vehicles and three ambulances, including the medicalized Areus one. Traffic was stopped until the road was fully restored to normal traffic. Below is the video:
