Michele Riondino and Antonio Diodato triumph: best actor and best original song at the David di Donatello with Laf building.
Visibly moved, Diodato, who won with the song “La mia terra”, thanked him Riondino and all his staff, and dedicated the song to Taranto and the people of Taranto: «Thank you for this requited love. TO Taranto I dedicate this award to my city that suffers, I invite everyone to come and see how beautiful it is despite everything, I dedicate it to all the people of Taranto, even those who are no longer here and to those who believe that a future is possible.”
«This year Taranto is present at the Donatello’s David not just with “Laf Building”but with Giacomo Abbruzzesewith “Commander” and with many other films that have been shot in this land – the words of Michele Riondino – We grew up with the idea that there is no other destiny other than the “factory”: cinema is another great industry, not the alternative. But it creates jobs and provides wealth. In our small way, therefore, we can also do without the factory if other perspectives develop. And cinema is another perspective.”
For the film Palazzina Laf another well-deserved award: Elio Germano best supporting actor.
