The bad weather has brought Calabria to its knees and, in particular, the Cosenza area. To overcome the now systematic problems of the road surface, the Province intervened. President Rosaria Succurro has, in fact, announced that “We have just obtained from the regional civil protection a loan of 830 thousand euros to prepare three essential interventions in streets devastated by water bombs”.
“Once again – continues Succurro –the Province has been able to intercept important funding for the protection and safeguard of the territory, which has a road network of over 3,300 kilometres. In detail, with the 830 thousand euros received we will provide:
- along the Sp 250, to fix road embankments and resolve the collapse of some lateral protection works in the municipality of Paludi, for over 170 thousand euros;
- along the Sp184, to restore the surface from Acri towards Corigliano, for 400 thousand euros;
- along the Sp 181, to create flexible support works in metal gabions and the management of rainwater near Vaccarizzo Albanese, for 260 thousand euros.
We are already ready to start the works, which will be added to all the others already planned and financed” – concludes the President.
