ROMAN HOLIDAYS // Idiots – Idiots

A friend, Maurizio Cont, invents a new word: idiotria. He explains that when faced with certain forms of idolatry, he feels a certain sense of idiocy which he would like to express with a single word to be understood as the servility of the artist who loses objectivity and critical sense in his relationship with the referring and client power. Here comes a neologism that like all newborns at a certain point wants to emancipate from the parent to hang out with other people and see the world.

And so we come to the intervention of the Roman Poetic Ensemble which starts playing with idiotry until a live proposal arises from itself in which the voices reveal an inhabited continent and the music becomes the sea to surround it.
They are three poetic sources supported by three microphones and supported by three electroacoustic instruments to generate a still and liquid sound that finally has a new concept for relating to everyday life, keeping in mind that talking about truth, art, history and physiology is a run after a wonderful monster that continues to escape.

Entrance 4.00 euros
