On the eve of the match against Torres, scheduled for Sunday 21 April at 4.30pm at Vanni Sanna, the coach of Cesena Dominic Tuscan he spoke about the match against the rossoblù and the moment experienced by the bianconeri already promoted to Serie B. Below is an extract of the press conference, reported by the club’s official channels.
On Torres
“We certainly didn’t expect Torres to be the main rival in the promotion race, they had a good championship and it was a good challenge. Up to a certain point, Torres managed to keep up with us with important results, then the gap increased and the mental aspect made the difference.”
On what made the difference against the rossoblù
“The difference with Torres? I think it was the consistency of performance and growth that Cesena had. Torres had a wonderful championship and there could be a moment of decline, while the mental resistance and continuity of performances and results meant that there was this gap. Cesena made the difference, not the disappointment of the other teams, perhaps some teams could have done something more but Cesena made the difference. It was a beautiful championship with an important duel with Torres.”

“Torres has a precise identity, it’s very close to ours, perhaps she has a more direct game. In the advanced department they have goals, ideas, one-on-ones. It’s a good challenge to be able to grow further, I told the boys: between now and May 19th we will meet the strongest teams in the group and in the championship.”
