Pesaro, Loudon Love and the debut: “A crazy adrenaline rush”

Loudon Love he talked about his debut with Carpegna Prosciutto which took place last Saturday against Pistoia, interviewed by Elisabetta Ferri on “Corriere dello Sport”.

Debut. “It was a crazy adrenaline rush to debut in front of an audience like that, it certainly doesn’t happen often in GLeague: it’s an anomalous league, sometimes it’s played in important arenas and with lots of people, sometimes in much less beautiful venues and with few spectators. So I was pleasantly surprised and I was pumped up like crazy, also when I saw the celebration of my teammates who certainly went through some complicated moments during the year.”

Love thus dove into this new adventurea: “Everyone I spoke to before leaving told me great things about the basketball played in Europe, which is different but competitive. Above all, I talked about it with Mike Daum, who I know well and who now plays in the Euroleague. It’s a shame that my adventure will be short-lived, just four games, but I want to enjoy them all. I’m curious to undertake this first trip, to see another area of Italy, another fan base. By the way, it’s wonderful that fans follow their teams away, last Saturday when I saw how many there were from Pistoia I was amazed. I hope that many of those from Pesaro will also come to support us today.”

Love is that type of “worker” player: “I have always been this type of player, a worker at the service of the team, even more so arriving late in the season, with the team having already developed its dynamics. This mentality also comes from American football where getting your hands dirty for the good of the group is the rule.”
