Romano Prodi in Reggio for April 25th

Meetings, conferences, commemorations, shows and film screenings: many events in Reggio Emilia and the province to remember the 79th anniversary of the Liberation.

In Reggio Emilia, the commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the Liberation will open on 25 April at 10.15 am with the Mass celebrated in the Basilica della Ghiara in memory of the Fallen.

After the procession from Corso Garibaldi to Piazza Martiri on 7 July, wreaths will be laid at the monuments to the Resistance and to the fallen of all wars in Piazza della Vittoria. This will be followed, at approximately 11.15 am, by speeches from the city authorities, from Ermete Fiaccadori, president of the Anpi, and from Romano Prodi, president of the Foundation for Collaboration between Peoples. The ceremony will be accompanied by the music of the Filarmonica Città del Tricolore.

The program of celebrations on 25 April is promoted and organized by the Municipality and Province of Reggio Emilia, partisan associations Anpi, Alpi, Apc, Anppia, Anpc, trade union organizations CGIL, CISL, UIL, Democratic Constitutional Committee, fighting and arms associations, Istoreco – Cervi Institute, Provincial School Office.
