100% LEGALITY – FIGHT AGAINST ORGANIZED CRIME Municipality of Pomezia, Quarto Savona Diecici Association and ANFP together for a day dedicated to legality and the memory of the Capaci massacre

Pomezia, 19 April 2024 – The city of Pomezia dedicates the day of Tuesday 23 April to legality and the memory of the Capaci massacre with the initiative: 100% LEGALITY – FIGHT AGAINST CRIME, in collaboration with the Quarto Savona Association Fifteen and the National Association of Police Forces:

The main event of the day will be the exhibition of the “Quarto Savona Diecici” display case, from the code name used for the Fiat Croma which exploded in the Capaci attack on 23 May 1992, in which judge Giovanni Falcone and his wife Francesca were killed. Morvillo and the escort agents Antonio Montinaro, Vito Schifani and Rocco Dicillo. The case, in fact, houses the remains of the escort car of judge Giovanni Falcone and is traveling the length and breadth of Italy, stopping in various cities so that it can be displayed to the public in memory not only of the Capaci massacre, but of all the victims of the mafia in our country and as a symbol of the fight against organized crime.

Precisely on April 23rd, therefore, the display case will arrive in the city of Pomezia which will welcome it with a program of dedicated events.

The children of Pomezia will also be involved in the event: the students of the schools of Pomezia and Torvajanica will open the day with a procession through the streets of the centre, while in the Civic Tower of Piazza Indipendenza (from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 20.00) it will be possible visit the exhibition “The Faces of Legality”, a project on which the students of the Picasso High School in Pomezia worked.

The Mayor of Pomezia Veronica Felici and Tina Montinaro, President of the Quarto Savona Diecici Association, as well as wife of Judge Falcone’s escort chief, Antonio Montinaro, who lost his life, will later bring their greetings at the inauguration of the Teca. in the Capaci massacre.

Furthermore, the following interventions are planned:

Vincenzo Viva.

The “Teca Quarto Savona Diecici” will then be visible to the public in Piazza Indipendenza, from 9.00 to 19.00.
