Forlì, the gymnastics museum will be cutting-edge

Multimedia, interactive and immersive, historical reconstruction, widespread. These will be the characteristics of “Magyc”, an acronym for Museum of the Art of Gymnastic, the only national museum dedicated to a sporting discipline, namely gymnastics. And it will have the name of a man from Forlì who dedicated his life to gymnastics: Bruno Grandi. At the top of the International Gymnastics Federation and the Italian Gymnastics Federation, Grandi was also regent president of CONI and Italian member of the IOC. The municipal administration with the mayor Gian Luca Zattini and the councilor for culture Valerio Melandri took stock of the situation on social media, speaking of a museum “that will soon become a reality”. The Municipality’s objective follows a dual function: to propose an educational path that highlights the cultural and inclusive value of sport, through the vision of gymnastics carried out by Bruno Grandi; create an unprecedented overview of the world of gymnastics at a national level. Inside, the “Grandi” museum will host events of national appeal and didactic and educational moments aimed at schools and the Forlì community, valorising gymnastics as a key to understanding cultural and social phenomena of the modern and contemporary world and witness to the evolution of relationship of the human being with the body.
