Sanremo. Burst of thefts in shops in the city centre. It happened in the night between last Thursday and Friday and the area that was targeted was the one between via Pallavicino, corso Garibaldi and via XX Settembre. There, at least five businesses were “attended”, it is not clear whether by a lone thief or by several criminals.
In Corso Garibaldi it was the turn of the housewares shop “Kasanova” and one of objects “Thun”. In the first, after having forced the shutter, the usual unknown persons stole the cash (around 400 euros) and some expensive household appliances, for a total value exceeding 2000 euros. From Thun, however, the front door was forced and around three hundred were stolen, again from the cash register, without touching the goods but also stealing the offerings for the Gaslini children.
In via Pallavicino “Work”, a professional work clothing shop and the “Erika acconciature” salon were visited. The first attempted to force the latch on the lock of the electric shutter, but someone must have disturbed whoever was trying to enter and he let it go. So she didn’t go to the hairdresser, who complains of a cash loss of around 2000 euros. Also in this case the entrance door was forced.
In via XX Settembre the “Cafè du Center” restaurant was hit, but in this case no thefts were recorded, perhaps because this time too someone disturbed the action of the criminals, who would have entered from a secondary entrance without however touching anything. The police are dealing with the case and have already taken steps to collect testimonies and view the footage from the city video surveillance cameras present in the area. Unfortunately, the raided businesses do not appear to have been equipped with internal cameras.
