The rider from Gruppo Piloti Civitavecchia Yonix Motorsport raced with a Formula Challenge Radical prototype

Great satisfaction for Antonio Morali who achieved first place overall in the second stage of the central-south championship of the Formula Challenge Radical circuit which took place on the Isam circuit in Anagni.

In the timed race, the Civitavecchia driver of Gpc Yonix Motorsport stopped the clock at 2’50”652, making him the best not only among the eleven prototypes in the running but among all the cars in the race.

In the three heats run by the member of the Civitavecchia Pilots Group – where four cars are running on the track at the same time even if not against each other but spaced apart – the best was the first.

A prestigious result, which launches Morali into the general classification of the Central South, where he already occupied a very respectable position: «I am very happy with the final result – says Antonio Morali – because the team’s work was excellent so that the car responded to the Better. The first race had already given comforting signs, where only a penalty prevented the achievement of a prestigious result.”

On the Sagittario circuit in Latina, the driver from Civitavecchia finished in fourth place overall and second in his category and only the 10-second penalty for cutting a chicane prevented a better result, if not the stage victory. This is why Morali does not hide his ambition: «I am aiming for first place in the Central South championship where I am in the top positions. The results of these first two stages give rise to hope for the victory of the interregional championship. Then calmly in October we will think about the Italian championship.” Meanwhile, the next stage of the Challenge is scheduled for May 19th, on the Airola circuit near Benevento.

Also in Anagni, on board a Mini JCW racing start, another rider from the Civitavecchia Pilots Group, Francesco Loiacono, also did well. The latter, although he had participated in the Anagnina competition solely to test the first steps of the former De Matteo Mini on the track, achieved great satisfaction. In fact, racing in the first heat alone, he won his class, finishing in second place overall among the “series” touring cars.
