VITTORIA INSURANCE HAS ALL THE NUMBERS TO ACHIEVE THE PREVENTION OF WOMEN’S CANCERS

On Saturday 20 April the Italian Women’s National Rugby Team will wear the special Vittoria For Women -The Numbers of Prevention shirt. The VittoriaBus is available for free breast examinations and fundraising has reopened, including the auctioning of personalized shirts to support prevention.

Vittoria Assicurazioni presented today, Friday 19 April, the Vittoria For Women – The Numbers of Prevention project created in collaboration with the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) and the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation to support prevention. The protagonist of the initiative is the special shirt that all the players of the Italian Women’s National Rugby Team will wear tomorrow, Saturday 20 April, in the pre-match of the Italy-Scotland match, the last home match of the 2024 Women’s Six Nations.

The “talking” shirt will have the task of raising awareness among the public attending the meeting, and the population in general, on the prevention of female oncological diseases. As also explained in the claim that accompanies the project “The numbers of the Azzurre, for the numbers of prevention”, each rugby player’s shirt number has been associated with an official data to remember how the adoption of virtuous practices and measures can prove to be the best attention that any person can dedicate to themselves.

“To look to the future, prevention plays a crucial role. Protecting yourself before an event occurs is, in fact, fundamental if you do not want to risk being overwhelmed and – in some cases defeated – by greater forces. This is why we as a Company will never stop raising consciences and making both women and men more aware and informed so that they can make positive decisions not only for themselves, but also for all the people around them”, states Matteo Campaner, General Manager of Vittoria Assicurazioni.

Vittoria For Women – The Numbers of Prevention is part of the various campaigns implemented by Vittoria Assicurazioni to consolidate its commitment to the community through tangible actions aimed, in particular, at women. Initiatives that are contained under a single brand: Vittoria for Women.

Furthermore, from 3.00 pm until the end of the match, outside the Sergio Lanfranchi stadium in Parma, there will also be the VittoriaBus, a traveling prevention and information center purchased thanks to the fundraising started in 2023 during the Vittoria For Women Tour and the Vittoria For Women Run, which, managed by the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation, will be used as a medical room for a free breast examination for all fans and non-fans. Fundraising which is officially reopened on this day and which, in addition to the usual channels such as the website or on-site donations, will see the auctioning of the personalized shirts of the Italian players. In particular, the technical shirts can be awarded at various times: both after the match on 20 April and during the six stages of the Vittoria for Women Tour scheduled from 26 June with the first stage in Milano Marittima until 27 July with the final stage in Campania. The project was conceived and developed by the Integer agency.

“Numbers are always important. They tell the truth. And the prevention numbers that stand out on the players’ shirts allow us to have a clear idea of ​​the effectiveness of an action in the area. Offering prevention, almost door to door, eliminates the obstacle of the distance between people and healthcare. And it makes up for, in numerous Italian regions, prevention networks that have a very relative, yet insufficient, capillarity. Experience tells us that these actions really save lives. Last year, a few dozen women were promptly sent for treatment after checks by gynecologists in our mobile clinics. This year we are ready to continue like this, ready to save dozens more lives”, states Angelo Conti, Vice President Operations of the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation.

Prevention concerns all of us and it is good to shine a light on an issue that is often underestimated, but which, only thanks to increased awareness, can save lives and reduce the incidence of cancer in society. For this reason we will wear the shirt with the prevention numbers in the warm-up, because we are convinced that bringing such an important message onto the pitch can be a real invitation to take care of yourself. Finally, I would like to extend an invitation to all the people who will come to follow us on Saturday at Lanfranchi: take 10 minutes and take advantage of the presence of the VittoriaBus. A breast examination can save your life. Victory for Women
Vittoria for Women is a complex project that is made up of many initiatives guided by the same common thread: the well-being of women. Like the AssiCuriamo Insieme social call, now in its second edition this year, which promotes active projects on the themes of the fight against gender violence and the prevention of female diseases. Or the Vittoria for Women Tour starting in June for the second consecutive year: a traveling trip organized with the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation and the FIR in the context of the Italian Beach Rugby Trophy to raise awareness on the topic of oncological prevention with the possibility of carrying out a free breast examination at VittoriaBus. Or again, in continuity with the responsibility assumed in the hottest months of the year, the Vittoria for Women Run, the annual company run which, since last year, has been open to the entire city of Milan.
