They found him with a plastic tube tightened around his neck, like a vice. The LAV volunteers arrived to help him with the veterinary ambulance. It is the story of a cat, which the association affectionately named Lawnlike the city where he was saved.
The cat was rescued near Cascine di Tavola. There, explains Lav “He was found in terrible conditions: around his neck tightened like a vice, a plastic tube, probably deliberately placed by someone without a heart. His suffering was evident, but his determination to survive was even more strong”.
With the help of special remotely operated trap cages and specially installed cameras, the volunteers managed to locate Prato and take him to the veterinary clinic. “His condition – Lav explains – requires immediate and delicate care. The plastic tube is so narrow that it will have to be sedated to allow its safe removal. But we are confident that with the help of vets and the love that surrounds Prato , we will be able to overcome this challenge too.”
The head of the Prato Lav Cristiano Giannessi announced that the fact will be reported to the municipal police and the zoophile guards, underlining that the place where Prato was recovered “is frequented by other cats belonging to a cat colony recognized by the Municipality”.
