The Galilei comprehensive institute of Busto Arsizio, as promoter, the Green School purpose network of the province of Varese (De Amicis, Bossi and Tommaseo comprehensive institutes of Busto Arsizio, Galvaligi of Solbiate Arno and Falcone of Gallarate), some subjects operating in the territory (“Plastic Free” Association; Beekeepers Varesini, Spesa Sballata, Jerry Alotta’s Love farm and Neutalia) and the Roggia Municipal Library, invite children and young people on Saturday 20 April 2024 in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in Busto Arsizio, to learn about the pollinators and their role of primary importance in the balance of the ecosystem – As the teacher Camilla Evarchi explains, the initiative represents a tool to bring children and young people closer to the world of pollinators and understand what actions we can take to guarantee their protection.

In the square, from 10.00 to 18.00, exhibitions, workshops and games are scheduled which will highlight the role of pollinators in safeguarding the environment: the disappearance of pollinators and in particular of the European bee (Apis mellifera) would in fact determine the loss of biodiversity, a fundamental element for guaranteeing the balance of the ecosystem and human life.

The occasion, which is part of the broader “Spring in bloom” program, will also be a good opportunity to concretely present the purpose network of the Green Schools in the province of Varese, promoted by the IC Galilei of Busto Arsizio, whose objective is to create collaboration between schools to disseminate, promote and support educational initiatives aimed at training active citizenship attentive to environmental issues.
