Andria also joins the First National Prevention Day. Tomorrow, Saturday 20 April, in Viale Crispi, corner of Via Roma, from 9am to 7pm, Internal Medicine specialists and nurses from the medical area will be available to citizens who will be able to receive information on their state of health and good prevention practices .

The risk of metabolic and cardiovascular pathologies which still today represent the main cause of morbidity and mortality in our country will be evaluated, through the measurement of blood pressure, the evaluation of the body mass index and some biological parameters (blood sugar, cholesterol, triglycerides ). Ad personam education interventions will also be carried out on infectious and neoplastic pathologies and chronic bronchitis.

The event is organized by doctors FADOI (Federation of Associations of Internist Hospital Managers) and nurses SOUL (National Association of Medicine Nurses) and has obtained the patronage of the Ministry of Health, the CRI and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, as well as from Medicine of the difference. In particular, in Puglia the day was organized thanks to the commitment of Dr. Salvatore Lenti (director of the Internal Medicine Unit of the Bonomo Hospital in Andria) and Dr. Franco Mastroianni (director UOC Internal Medicine Miulli Hospital of Acquaviva delle Fonti) representatives of FADOI Puglia, with the patronage of ASL BT and the City of Andria with the Italian Red Cross.

All citizens are invited to refer free of charge to the stands set up in Viale Crispi where they can receive information on their state of health and the healthy lifestyle to adopt. The objective of the day is to increase awareness that it is possible to prevent cardiovascular, neoplastic and respiratory diseases, which seriously impact the state of health, with simple lifestyle changes.
