Salerno: the Minerva Exhibition opened today at the Villa Comunale

The “Exhibition of Minerva – Rare plants and what makes the garden afternoon” at the Villa Comunale of Salerno is an exceptional event, offering a wide range of exhibitions, workshops, guided tours and more, dedicated to lovers of greenery and nature. With the patronage of the Municipality of Salerno and the organization of the Hortus Magnus, this exhibition aims to disseminate knowledge of the plant world and promote environmental culture.

The inauguration of the event was honored by the presence of the mayor of Salerno Enzo Napoli, the councilor Angelo Caramanno and the president of the association Clotilde Baccari Cioffi, highlighting the importance that the city attributes to initiatives of this type.

The objective of the exhibition goes beyond entertainment, aiming to enhance the Campania region, promote its landscape richness and its typical production in the floriculture and ornamental plants sector. Furthermore, it is proposed to include Salerno in the national circuit of horticultural events, thus contributing to local economic development through the attraction of new market flows and the strengthening of the city’s tourist and cultural offer.

The exhibition, now in its 17th edition, has expanded considerably over the years, becoming a point of reference in the national horticultural sector. In addition to exhibitions and practical demonstrations, the event also offers an innovative digital experience thanks to the commitment of the students of the B. Focaccia Institute, who have developed a multimedia application for smartphones and the web for an interactive guided tour of the stands .

With the participation of exhibitors from different Italian regions and the presence of representatives of the University and non-profit associations, the exhibition is a unique opportunity to learn, discover and appreciate the beauty and biodiversity of the plant world.

The Hortus Magnus association’s offering of a home delivery service for purchases made at the stands demonstrates its commitment to offering a complete and convenient experience for visitors.

The opportunity to participate in educational workshops, conferences and hands-on demonstrations adds another layer of value, allowing participants to deepen their knowledge and learn from the experiences of industry experts. It is an interesting event for gardeners, botanists, students and families interested in exploring the green world and learning new sustainable techniques and practices for growing and caring for plants.

The exhibition will remain open over the weekend.
