There punctual waste tariffwhich came into force on 1 January 2024 and became operational, with the calculations in the bill, from 1 April last, was the protagonist of the evening which was held in the music room in Porto Tolle Thursday 18 April. And the citizens who participated in the event organized by were also protagonists Ecoenvironment together with the municipal administration to whom the evening was aimed. The central theme was, in particular, the presentation of the innovations that the new tariff system brings with it but the evening was also an opportunity to ask questions, express doubts, ask for clarifications and clarifications. The answers came from the CEO of Ecoambiente Adriano Tolomei and the director Walter Giacetti. With them also the municipal councilor for the environment, energy and ecology Diego Marchesini as “master of the house”.
“Thanks go to all the municipalities in the province of Rovigo – said Tolomei – because thanks to the first step made in the first 21 municipalities, which gave satisfaction in terms of both citizens’ behavior and quantity of separate waste collection, now we arrive in the delta with the citizens already aware that doing separate waste collection well gives value both from an economic point of view, with the clear representation that it will no longer be the square meters of the home that affect the punctual rate but it will be the heads , that is, the quantity of people who produce the dry waste, and obviously the theme is the quality of separate waste collection. A leap in quality even in the presence of a tourist area that we care a lot about in terms of environmental quality.”
Tolomei then specified that the precise measurement started on April 1st concerns only the Household utilities. For non-domestic users, i.e. production and commercial activities, metering will start from 1 July. In this regard, he highlighted that Ecoambiente is fully available “to ensure that all non-domestic users are intercepted and the actual needs are understood to ensure proper waste separation, on the other hand we report them and are ready to provide support to the administration”. Finally, the CEO recalled that the waste tariff is no longer managed by the Municipality, as was the case with the old Tari, but by the company, therefore the Tarip bill will be labeled Ecoambiente “with a tariff – he concluded – which will be the same for everyone the citizens of Polesine and therefore, another element of satisfaction for the company, is a value of equity, effectiveness and efficiency for the entire Polesine area”.
