Arrests in Bari, D’Attis: “Here system of power to which everything is granted”

“In Bari there is evidently a system of power that has managed to remove every boundary between legal and illegal. In Bari and Puglia there is a group of untouchables to whom everything is allowed, even normalizing absolutely pathological phenomena. Acquiring and using confidential information (such as, for example, the arrest of Alfonso Pisicchio) is a crime, but it seems normal.” These words were uttered by Mauro D’Attis, vice-president of the national Anti-Mafia commission and Puglia regional commissioner of Forza Italia, who spoke on the news relating to the alleged message sent by the president of the Puglia Region, Michele Emiliano, to Alfonso Pisicchio a few hours before his arrest .

According to what emerged, it was Pisicchio who reported it during the interrogation held before the investigating judge during which he also showed the photo of the alleged message. “There is a system of power – highlighted D’Attis – which is based on positions and rivers of money useful for consensus: is this normal? A politically oriented system around Emiliano and Decaro, who are also allowed to go up on stage and smile with a smile about having been received at the home of the sister of a well-known boss. A system in which clans are protagonists in the management of public companies. It is a duty to stem a dangerous drift, caused by “untouchables”, by magic circles, by the arrogance of those who think they reign rather than administer public affairs. It is not a moral issue, it is a democratic issue” – he concluded.
