Giugliano, false invoices for smartphones and tablets: three reported

He was accredited on a public administration portal as a spin off that was supposed to make purchases on behalf of the Municipality of Giugliano. And on the same portal they published determinations, which turned out – according to the investigations of the local police – not to be real the acquisition of particularly expensive goods.

The first supply was generally paid punctually upon delivery of the goods but upon the second the invoices remained unpaid. So some traders turned to the local police of Giugliano.

An alleged scamaccording to an initial estimate by the investigators coordinated by Colonel Emiliano Nacar, of several hundred thousand euros to the detriment of local businesses but also outside the region, both in Lombardy and Sicily.

Purchase requests they would have been predominantly of smartphones and tablets. But after the first orders, they immediately requested others and then – investigators hypothesize – disappeared. And when the companies asked the local police officers of Giugliano for clarification, the resulting investigations were started to the complaint of three people.
