ROVIGO – Monday 22 April the whole world is mobilizing for the anniversary that invites us to protect our planet, Earth Day recognized in 193 countries around the world.
For the Earth Day 2024, BWH Hotels Italy & Maltahotel group of which it is part Best Western Hotel Cristallohas chosen to support the project dedicated to Cà Pisani Valleyan area of 750 hectares in Veneto regional natural park of the Po Delta.
Walter Marcheselli, the owner of the hotel, has long been committed to sustainability practices for this property. Furthermore, as President of BWH Hotels Italia & Malta he is a first-person promoter of projects, good practices and awareness of the impact that hotels and tourism have on our environment.

The concrete actions implemented in the hotel for sustainability stand out: the solar system for the production of hot water, latest generation air conditioning and heating system, highly insulated fixtures, home automation in the rooms and common areas for energy and thermal management, internal and external LED lights.
To support the local economy, agreements with local and zero-mile suppliers as well as favoring supplies from companies with sustainability balance sheets. Furthermore, charging stations for electric cars will soon be available.
The initiative is led by UP2YOUa startup committed to fighting climate change through innovative technologies, and is dedicated to preserving the delicate balance of unique land and water ecosystems Cà Pisani Valley.
Cà Pisani Valley it is an Italian project βneutral certifieddeveloped on a total area of 750 hectares at the northern area of the natural park Veneto regional del Po Delta. Through aquaculture, the initiative maintains the biological balance of unique ecosystems in water and on land. Maintaining a healthy algal substrate allows the fixation of CO₂ from the atmosphere or the reduction of greenhouse gases.
There are also numerous protected animal species – Fratino, Eels, Sea Bream, Sea Bass and Stickleback – and twelve different ones preserved plant species.
The 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and in the future. At the center are the 17 sustainable development goals. The SDGs covered by Valle Ca Pisani concern the adoption of urgent measures to combat climate change and its consequences.
The United Nations they promote Earth Day each year, one month and one day after the spring equinox, April 22. The first Earth Day, in 1970, mobilized millions of citizens, giving rise to the modern environmental movement. Since then, the anniversary has evolved and now involves 193 countries.
