Now that the last squeals of the lost semi-final have been quelled with the good play in the home match and the farewell dinner of the activity carried out in the 2023/2024 season, which went beyond the most optimistic predictions, the Akademia Messina is already thinking about what it will do “when it grows up ”.
The organization given to the club by its president Fabrizio Costantino and corroborated by managers, technical staff and supporters, envisaged the total growth of the entire movement starting from the young Youth Sector, born like the entire Peloritana club, only five years ago. Seasons peppered with many victories and the achievement of a professional level that has the clear objective of arriving prepared at the highest levels of national volleyball.
As already said and made clear by President Costantino himself, the roster of athletes is already ready who in the next championship will have as their sole objective the climb to Serie A1, then it may even fail, because we know there are many variations and sometimes luck also has a hand in it, but the planned construction of the roster with the permanence of coach Fabio Bonafede are the clear signs of growth that will be able to guarantee Messina prestige and a future as a protagonist on the national scene.
Lastly, the trust of important sponsors, the many tears of the Messina athletes as a seal of the unity of a “true group” which in the extreme tip of Sicily has found an ideal environment and the affection of the public seen in the last race in season are signals to be treasured and not to be underestimated.
