ROME-Starting Six on the Friday dedicated to the Super League tells us about Perugia’s spectacular victory over Monza in Game 1 of the Scudetto final in front of the crowd of a Pala Barton packed in every row of seats. Lorenzetti’s team therefore scored the first point in the series that leads to the tricolor but it was certainly not a walk in the park for the Block Devils who had to deal with Eccheli’s team who, after eliminating them from the title race first Civitanova and then the Italian champions of Trento do not want to stop surprising.

Overthestat places emphasis on the numbers of the match which highlight that, beyond the fact that the match ended in four sets, the differences in percentages were minimal. The block was decisive in favor of the hosts (14 against 5) even if Monza received better (45% against 43% of the Umbrians), six aces each on serve. But the real protagonist of the match was Simone Giannelli (MVP of the match with 6 points in the scoreboard of which 5 were blocked) who expertly distributed the game for all his attackers. Colaci in reception (64%) and in defense offered his usual extraordinary contribution to Perugia’s success.

In Social Clubs an extraordinary selection of the most spectacular actions from the first match of the Play Off final.

The second chapter will be on Sunday with Race 2 which will be staged at the Opiquad Arena in Monza.
