The new single by Daniel Gala is titled “Carrera” and it is what the musician from Olbia defines as a true “hymn to life”.

“That happy moment that comes for anyone who finds the strength to have patience, perseverance and courage – says Gala -, qualities that are hidden within the awareness of wanting to face something extraordinary. I was inspired by the autobiographical text Like Rocky Balboa written by the director Duccio Forzano and to write the piece my points of reference were songwriters strongly linked to their roots, such as Fabrizio De André, Pino Daniele, Tazenda, Piero Marras hey Cordas et Cannas“.

Component of Extemporaneous, who he considers a “second family”, with this new song Daniele Gala has decided to invest in his solo career at the same time. “Carrera means road. Sardinian belongs to me. We have always spoken it at home and I wrote the chorus and some parts in Sardinian to express the intention of wanting to continue this path of identity research. The intention is to continue in this direction.”

Produced by Marco Azarathe song was recorded in the musician’s studio Andrea Pica. Vocals and guitars by Daniele Gala collaborated Roberto Pitzoi (drums), Ottavio Cocco (percussion), Simone Poggi (percussion), Giovanni Del Fonso (piano), Alessandro Muzzu (guitar), Gianlucca Welcome (Bass), Antonio Meloni (trumpets) e Bruno Piccinnu (table).

“After composing the song, I involved a team of friends and artists who immediately showed great enthusiasm for this project. Thanks also go to Gino Marielli of the TazendaGavino Murgia, Beppe Dettori, Gianni Menicucci, Gianni Fasciolo who created the cover of the single, Fabio Piscitelli and to the photographer Andrea Mignogna (Frankshouter). I am proud to have generated this small wave and I thank everyone for their trust. I dedicate the message of the song to a great Sardinian artist, Francesco Piluwho encouraged my artistic path and that of many other Sardinian musicians”.
