It took place on Friday morning, in the Aula magna of the Polytechnic in via Sesto, the event Future Innovators: students leading the technological revolutionorganized by the Municipality of Cremona, the Polytechnic of Milan – territorial headquarters of Cremona, and the Cremonese University Studies Association (Acsu).

The event was interesting over one hundred children from secondary schools (IIS Einaudi, Liceo Aselli, Liceo Manin, IIS Ghisleri and IIS Torriani) who participated with curiosity and interest. The initiative was conceived at the conclusion of the Acsu agreement program with the Polytechnic, an agreement which supports its training and research activities also aimed at introducing elements of innovation useful to local businesses and particularly interesting for the post-diploma courses of Boys.

The title Future Innovators was born from the assumption that new generations will have to be able to chart the path towards a sustainable future, reconciling tradition and innovation, experimenting and applying cutting-edge technologies, even in the more traditional fields in which our territory excels, such as music and agriculture. The master’s degree courses in Music and Acoustic Engineering and in Agricultural Engineering, the latter in collaboration with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, are an example of the value of research, innovation and multidisciplinarity in training courses for the new generations .

After the institutional greetings from the Education Councilor Maura Ruggeripresident of Acsu, and of the Vice-Rector of the Cremona territorial center of the Polytechnic, Gianni Ferretti, the young graduates of the Polo Giacomo Longo (Music and Acoustic Engineering course), Luca Succi And Andrea Remelli (Agricultural Engineering course) recounted their experiences with AI systems and technological tools, providing suggestions and stimuli for the young people in the audience, involved in a dynamic dialogue from Andrea Mattioliconsultant in the field of Digital Organization and AI, trainer and teacher in innovation and technologies.

In closing, the mayor applauded the initiative Gianluca Galimbertipresent in the room with the councilor for Innovation and Digitalisation Maurizio Manzi, who thanked everyone present and urged the young people to be passionate about knowledge and knowledge.

“It was right to celebrate the fundamental support that Acsu has provided in the development of the Cremona Territorial Hub of the Polytechnic – declares the Vice-Rector Gianni Ferretti – right now that new horizons are opening up, both for the contributions that Artificial Intelligence can give to the development of sectors of historical tradition in our territory, such as acoustics and agritech, both in reference to the new Campus headquarters, which will further strengthen the research and teaching activities carried out by the Cremonese Center of the Polytechnic. The hope, obviously, is that the expiring agreement will be followed by a renewed commitment from companies and institutions to support the activities of the Polytechnic, called upon to provide the most precious resources for the production system: knowledge and human capital.”

Education Councilor Maura Ruggeri was satisfied and declared: “Today’s initiative saw a large and active participation of students who were able to compare themselves with the direct experiences told by the new graduates of the Polytechnic, learning excellent ideas and suggestions for the their future. The event, symbolically, saw in young people, “future innovators”, in their potential and their talents, the most important investment to offer growth and development prospects to the territory”.

Today’s initiative is part of the actions of the “Ci sto!” project. presented by the Municipality of Cremona in collaboration with universities, schools and a large network of partners as part of the “Lombardy is for Young People 2023” call, financed by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with Anci Lombardia.
