Appointment on Saturday 4 May at Villa Cortese, in Piazza della Quercia
Villa Cortese – On Saturday 4 May we will have the new edition of the “Mercator Farmer“ the monthly appointment with the local and regional producers of the Alto Milanese Farmers’ Markets. The market is organized by Slow Food Legnano APS with the patronage of the Municipality of Villa Cortese and it will be held from 9am to 1pm at Piazza Della Quercia (Via A. Da Giussano).
The initiative, created by Slow Food Legnano APS with the patronage of the Municipality, consists of a market of local agricultural products scheduled for every first Saturday of the month. You can buy seasonal products directly from the producers in the marketor which will display the many goodies produced in our territory. In the market you can find cured meats, bread and desserts, honey, cheeses, wine and other food products such as oil, flour, seasonal fruit and vegetables. The farmers’ market is a great opportunity to meet with producers who have decided not to be involved in large-scale distribution and to be able to communicate with the end user to share alternative food distribution proposals through the monthly farmers’ markets.
The short supply chaina, with a predilection for quality, makes the Farmer’s Market an excellent opportunity to obtain natural and healthy foods. The Market wants to enhance local and regional products to safeguard the food history of a community, as well as the territory to stimulate biodiversity.
